WAIVER PROCEDURE
To handle this violation as a waiver, you must meet the following requirements:
• Have a waiverable offense listed on the reverse side
• Have no more than two moving violations in the past 12 months
• Enter plea of guilty - complete admission of the citation
• Read carefully - sign reverse side of citation
• Have total waiver payment to Violation Bureau no later than the last business day before assigned court date – include signed citation and proof of insurance.
• If 2 or more offenses are listed on one ticket, please call the Court for the total waiver amount
• If speed in construction zone - call Court for waiver amount
Make money order, personal or certified check payable to the Berea Municipal Court. Mail payment to the address above, and include citation signed on back and proof of insurance. You may also pay with a VISA, MasterCard or Discover by visiting our website at www.bereamunicipalcourt.org. Costs are subject to change by order of the court.
VIOLATIONS NOT WAIVERABLE
• Any felony or indictable offense
• Offense involving an accident
• Operating motor vehicle under influence of alcohol or drug abuse
• Reckless operation of a motor vehicle
• Leaving the scene of an accident
• Driving while under suspension or revocation of license
• Driving without a license
• Passing a standing school bus
• Willfully fleeing or eluding a police officer
• Drag racing
• Possession or use of alcohol - under age
• Drug offenses
• Speed 26 miles or more over the limit
HANDICAP PARKING VIOLATION REQUIRES COURT APPEARANCE.
CHILD RESTRAINT VIOLATION - If you purchase a Child
Restraint device and submit proof - Fine and Costs will be suspended.
FAILURE TO APPEAR
Failure to appear may result in the forfeiture of your operator’s license. Your license will remain suspended until you appear before this Court. The Court may also issue a warrant for your arrest.
OUT OF STATE DRIVERS: A NON-RESIDENT VIOLATOR COMPACT will be ordered by the COURT. Under the COMPACT agreement, your state will SUSPEND your Driver’s License until you satisfy this COURT. The COURT may also issue an ARREST WARRANT to bring you before the COURT.
